In addition, FYM would like to thank all its donors, many of whom wish to remain anonymous and “in memoriam” donations and legacies, which are hugely valued and appreciated

In particular, FYM is extremely grateful to the late Paul John Morgan for his generous bequest and also to the late John Skinner who until his premature death in 2014, worked at FYM as a teacher and pastoral leader with great distinction. The generosity of both these gifts will ensure the legacies of both gentlemen will continue for many years to come.

FYM should like to thank the late Sylvia Moys for her generous bequest to the LSSO and the late Michael Heaton for his generous bequest to CYM. After an illustrious career in the RAF, Michael held senior posts in business in the UK and overseas but always maintained his passion for music and in particular the piano and organ. He had a huge collection of piano music, from Mozart and Beethoven to Noel Coward and Cole Porter, and loved playing for friends both at home and at social occasions. He died shortly after his 100th birthday.

FYM is also enormously grateful to the late Peter Croser for his generous bequest. Peter worked as a piano teacher and then accompanist at CYM from the early 70s until his retirement in 2013. Born in London, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music from the age of 16 and enjoyed a distinguished career as a soloist and accompanist, regularly performing on radio and TV as well as in the concert hall. He was also an examiner for ABRSM and taught at the University of Surrey. Peter was an inspiration to countless CYM students and is also remembered as the hugely informative host of the weekly lunchtime concerts.
