This year the London Centre for Young Musicians (CYM) is launching an exciting new initiative, Youth Brass! From September 2021, we are providing a training programme on brass instruments for beginners in school years 3 – 6.
The CYM Youth Brass programme is an opportunity for all young children with a passion for music to learn and develop their skills and creativity in a vibrant and stimulating environment.
Our Youth Brass Programme is designed as a two-year progressive course. In each year of the programme you will receive, group instrumental tuition on your chosen instrument, with no more than four students per group, and 45 minutes of musicianship tuition incorporating Kodáy and Dalcroze teaching methods. These methods introduce students to musical concepts through experiences such as listening, singing and movement. Learning is reinforced through games, movement, songs and exercises that enhance musical expression and
understanding.
Through this course, we will help you to progress and flourish, with excellent tuition and mentoring from highly regarded professional brass players on our CYM staff.

There are no audition requirements for entry. Places may be limited and will be given on a first come first serve basis. To apply for a place on this new course please complete our online application form.
