Leave A Legacy
CYM is supported by the Foundation for Young Musicians which raises funds to provide bursaries for disadvantaged students who would otherwise not have access to this opportunity because of their family background.
A gift in your Will to FYM would help to nurture and support the next generation of young musicians, ensuring means to pay is not a barrier to any young person wishing to access high quality music tuition.
Be assured that any gift you make will be gratefully received and invested carefully in the future.
If you would like to attend CYM and LSSO concerts throughout the year to witness what your gift will be supporting, we would be delighted to see you – please do get in touch.
As a registered charity, any legacy donation you make to FYM is free of inheritance tax and will help us support future generations of talented young Londoners.
Leaving A Legacy Can Be Done in Various Ways
- A residuary gift is the share of your estate left over once your family has been taken care of.
- A pecuniary gift is a specific amount of money left to FYM and can be directed towards a specific aspect of CYM’s work.
- A reversionary gift allows you to leave your estate to your dependent while they are living, but after they pass away it will revert to FYM.
Including your wishes in your Will is straightforward. If you already have a Will, all you need to do is add a codicil. We do however recommend that you also consult your family and a solicitor. There are inheritance tax advantages in willing money to charities and advice on this can be sought.
We will treat your pledge in complete confidence.
