APPLICATIONS FOR PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME
THIS PROGRAMME IS NOW FULL.
This is a 4 year progressive course designed to encourage children to explore the joy of making music. Singing, rhythm and movement activities will teach an instinctive connection between what these young musicians do with their hands, their voices, their eyes, their ears and their intellect.
To apply for this course please complete the online application form. We can only take students onto this course from the beginning (school year 1) To join the course your child should be starting in School Year 1, age 5 in the September of entry.

APPLICATIONS FOR YOUTH BRASS
Our Youth Brass Programme is designed as a two-year progressive course providing a training programme on brass instruments for beginners in school years 3 – 6. In each year of the programme you will receive:
- 30 minutes of group instrumental tuition— with no more than four students in a group
- 45 minutes of musicianship tuition—incorporating Kodály and Dalcroze teaching methods. These methods introduce students to musical concepts through experiences such as listening, singing and movement. Concepts are reviewed and reinforced through games, movement, songs and exercises that enhance musical expression and understanding.
Upon completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to continue on to the Saturday Centre’s Full Programme of study.
You will have the opportunity to choose from the following instruments
Trumpet
Cornet
French Horn
Tenor Horn
Trombone
Euphonium
There are no audition requirements for entry. To apply for a place on this new course please complete our online application form.
